The figure in the painting is appearing to be heavily weighted down by the balloons; they are acting as if the balloons are heavy cement blocks. Sometimes we can tend to view our problems as much bigger mountains than they really are. We give power to those problems and can allow them to weigh us down, keeping us chained up. Our problems do not have to weigh us down, we can trade in our cement blocks for balloons. “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
