The reference photo for this painting was taken on the way home from a wonderful fishing trip in Kremmling Colorado with my dad, brother and husband. It has only been recently that I have been fishing again; I grew up fishing a lot and adored it. The trip was refreshing and familiar, like reading your favorite book again. The peaceful grazing horses were right by the dirt road as we were leaving and I asked to stop to take reference photos, which wasn’t the only time I asked to stop for photos 😅 There were so many golden potential painting spots in the Kremmling mountains. It was a day to be treasured.
